The New Hope Mass Choir

The recently released Lord We Praise Cd is becoming an Inspirational Classic. People who have bought this cd say that they are very pleased with the continuous motivational atmosphere that it carries. It includes the hit song Zion Hill which has the traditional feel that everyone loves and a pt. 2 remix that is popular with the young people. Some radio stations are calling it Song of the Year! The praise songs Lord We Praise and Make Room make it easy to just give God the praise. Contemporary music and new lyrics have made the hymns At the Cross and What a Friend favorites once again. Guest artist Minister Curtis Gatewood and his daughter Desmera are a singing/rap that bring a special twist to What a Mighty God.
The New Hope Mass Choir was formed by Daniel Gatewood by combining members from the five talented choirs at New Hope Baptist Church.
Daniel Gatewood is the son of the pastor Dr. Rev.W.H. Gatewood who has been pastor of the church for 47 years. Daniel became a member when he was a young child then after going to college came back to serve as music director for the church.
The New Hope Mass Choir consists of members both young and old who have been a part of the church for most of their lives. They represent a marvelous church family that still stands in support of the 89 year old pastor. This group has come together to produce a cd that is has gained local and national attention because of the versatility and the substance of the songs. If you want to be fed spiritually this cd has what you need.
