Album Notes

Dave Hawkins started his professional career in 1976 performing American Folk music- both covers and originals. From there he moved into the newly popular "Country Rock" ala- Eagles. In 1984 Dave began a foray into the Celtic/Irish Music world performing with the Mid-West group General Guinness. Leaving Guinness in 1991, Dave re-entered the "solo musician" realm and within 2 or 3 years made the decision to form a backing band. Dave enlisted the services of some of the Mid-West's finest Celtic and Folk-Pop artists and formed Celtic Core. The band is an eclectic mix of artists who align themselves behind Dave and sharing his vision. This CD is the 1998 line-up of Celtic Core. Behind Dave are: Peg Buchanan-O'Callan (award winning Scots fiddler), John Sherman (internationally renowned fingerstyle guitarist and bazouki player) and Neal Havener (regionally renowned Pop-Rock keyboardist/vocalist).
A fun- exciting LIVE CD of Dave and his band.
