Biography

After years of artistic adventures and individual musical careers, it is in august of 2000 that Elyzabeth Diaga & Ben Roberge
join forces to create and produce the DIAGA sound.

Artistic fusion happens when Ben sends one of his musical tracks to Elyzabeth via email; completely seduced by
the refreshing atmosphere of his music,
she instantly improvises a melody & lyrics, establishes a structure and sends him back the
first draft of Above My Hell that same day.
After such a succesful musical exchange the newly formed duo adopts this
spontaneous writing procedure and begins the DIAGA adventure .

Disregarding any premeditaded musical protocol the DIAGA sound forges itself naturally and quickly attains maturity.
Electronic / organic, two contrasts that collide while revolutionizing their intrinsic content.
From Jazz to Groove, from Pop to Trance we never suffer from the definitive presence of any specific musical form,
instead we find ourselves stupefied by their subtle or striking force of passage.

In less than 2 years, the two members of DIAGA write, mix and produce their album, they surround themselves
with exceptionnal collaborators,
they put DIAGAWORLD.COM online, start their own record label ( D.W. records ) and obtain a
Canadian distribution with Outside Music.

It is in a room filled with 400 astounded guests, that the audacious team launches it's debut album on september
3rd at Montreal's Cabaret Music Hall.

In april 2003 DIAGAWORLD productions present The DIAGA Experience; this show of international envergure,
will 2 months later find itself on the Groove stage at The Montreal International Jazz Festival, flabbergasting
more than 7 000 people.

Ending 2003 with 2 special V.I.P. shows of The DIAGA Triangle Lounge Show , DIAGA's 2004 begins with
the release of a remix cd ( Recycled ) and the production of a new CD.
In summer of 2005, the song MUSH appears on THE FUTURE SOUND OF MONTREAL 3 compilation and MUSH Alain VInet remix appears on the Cirque du Soleil compilation MOUVEMENT.
In constant evolution DIAGA is currently in studio working on a very special project.
