If Bryan Ferry from Roxy Music decided to sing with The Pixies or if Franz Ferdinand grew some balls, that would be Dialtone. Indie rock is the genre they fit in best with, although their music would be at home on alt-rock and garage rock stations too.
Paul's driving guitar hooks blend seamlessly with Mike's earnest drum beats and George's melodic bass, while intense vocals and unified harmonies round out Dialtone's performance. Their sound comes from a variety of sources: 60's garage rock bands recorded on duct taped equipment, 80's pop bands standing out in a sea of synthesizers, 90's grunge rockers challenging punk rock. The music they make, a fusion of power pop, indie angst, and good old fashioned rock n' roll, creates a sound that is uniquely Dialtone's.
Dialtone currently plays gigs around the LA area. Past gigs include: The Viper Room, The Hive, The Joint, The Verity Room, The Airliner, Westwood Brewing Company, The Knitting Factory (Alterknit Lounge, Main Stage), The Whiskey, Paladino's, Universal Bar and Grill, Goldfinger's, Zen Sushi.
