Diana Rose's debut self-titled CD is a glimpse into her life experiences. In her distinct alto voice, she "tells it like it is" so to speak. Her honesty often times comes across as sassy, but at the same time she isn't afraid to show us her vulnerable, tender side. One of the great things about this album is its diverse exhibition of musical styles. Rose takes blues, country, funk, samba, and soul, and somehow makes them all belong together on one album.
