Diane and Ada are a musical duo from the green hills of the Galilee, in northern Israel. They believe that music
has the power to bring people together for world peace and harmony. Both women are exceptional vocalists, each with her own style and colour, blending together in beautiful harmonies.
\"Kol Haneshama\" is Diane and Ada\'s third album, focusing on both Folk and Spiritual music from the Jewish world.
\"Kol HaNeshama\" means \"the Voice of the Soul\".
From a modern Jewish prayer to a Hassidic Niggun, from an upbeat Yiddish tune to a dramatic Ladino song, and from a romantic Hebrew \"Songs of Songs\" or Psalm to a rhythmic Yeminite prayer, Diane and Ada invite you on a heartwarming journey of Jewish music from around the world. An original blend of rich vocal harmonies, accompanied by guitar, flute, cello, violin, mandolin and percussion. This album includes some original songs written by the artists; it is produced and performed by Israeli musicians.
Give a special listen to song number 17 – “Peace Will Come (Shalom-Sala’am)”. Despite these difficult times in the Middle East, Jewish and Arab musicians collaborate on a beautiful “Peace Anthem”. It is an original song by the artists, interweaving the three languages: Hebrew, Arabic and English. As more and more people listen, the peace message becomes all the stronger as it becomes a reality. The Arabic is sung by the angelic voice of Balsam Darwish, age 15, the daughter of Salem Darwish, a well- known singer /percussionist from the Arab village of Rama. Diane Kaplan (composer) sings the English and Ada Moriel sings the Hebrew.

She sang at my wedding and I play her CDs in my mind and in my car. I know that this album has special meaning for Diane because it is dedicated to her mom, who passed away last year. The Yiddush songs are so wonderful...
