Album Notes

Songs both inspiring and amusing, all featuring Diane's velvet voice. Backup includes dulcimer, guitar, wonderful violin, amazing harmonicas, luminous penny-whistle, and lots of harmony. Diane's arrangement of "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot" features a nine-woman a cappella group, and her version of "Minuit, Chretiens" ("Oh, Holy Night"), sung in the original French, is a jewel. The CD includes four Jack Hardy songs, plus the tongue-twisting original "Let's Go Canoeing on Lake Chargoggagoggmanchauggagoggchaubunagungamaugg," -- an actual lake in central Massachusetts.
