Poetry is the window to the heart and soul of MN’s cowgirl poet, Diane Tribitt. She writes with passion and intensity, especially when it comes to the cowboy way of life. After Diane's husband was killed on July 4, 2004 in a rodeo accident, Diane decided to keep the ranch going. Her faith, hard work and dedication to the cowboy way of life has helped keep that dream alive. Since then Diane has also stepped into the world of cowboy poetry. An avid supporter of cowboypoetry.com, she has gained national and internation recognition and awards. Now working side-by-side with her fiancé and children, Diane runs a 650 head cow/calf operation as well as a grain bin construction crew. Diane knows first-hand that cowboying is not only about surviving the droughts, blizzards, diseases, floods, and heck, even the banker! It’s about living and working with God and raising your children to know, understand, and appreciate this lifestyle. It’s about the perils and mishaps; the romance and love. It’s about the horses, cattle and dogs. And mostly, it’s about the cowboys and cowgirls who keep it all alive.
Performance Reviews:
Diane Tribitt is a fresh young cowboy poet who sparkles when she performs. She touches her audience with her honesty, sincerity and humor. Diane writes her own poetry and brings her experiences with ranch life into her renditions. There are several women poets who are considered the "best of the best." I expect to see Diane's name in with those wonderful ladies very soon.

… Many, many people were sincerely touched by Diane’s authenticity and her natural ability to engage an audience. She made them laugh and she made them cry, literally! During her final poem, A Tribute to the Cowboy set to the music of Amazing Grace, even the orchestra was losing its composure, with several of the players in tears. What is so wonderful about her art is that it is based on her real life experiences as a cowboy/rancher. It is not snobbish or intellectual, but is perfect in its childlike simplicity, colorful expressions, and humorous irony.

I bought this cd in Albuquerque, NM. It is the most enjoyable compilation of cowboy poetry I have ever purchased - one I would never get sick of listening to over and over again. Although I didn't get the chance to meet Miss Diane in person I feel like we've been friends forever! My hat's off to her, and I hope she comes back to NM again some day soon!

The first time I heard Diane recite her poetry, I just knew that she'd soon become one of the greatest cowboy poets on the circuit. This CD has only confirmed what I thought...absolutely outstanding writing! You can tell she truly "feels" what she says and, in a clear voice full of emotion, she brings the listener right in with her. Good on ya, Diane!
