The unique, multi-layered sound of this duo was the inspiration for the group's name. Dichroic glass is a beautiful material manufactured by fusing microscopic layers of metallic oxides to glass. The result is a matchless array of shimmering colors that reflect different hues when viewed at different angles. It is commonly used in jewelry making.

As a musical ensemble, Dichroic Glass aspires to add depth and interest to their sound by layering guitars, keyboard, and voices. The group's members are Maureen Rush-Bogutz (guitar, bass, percussion, vocals) and Kristin King (keyboard, percussion, vocals). The two strive to interblend each of their talents and ideas together to form a cohesive, alluring sound that captivates and entertains their listeners. Their music is uplifting, captivating, funny and inspiring, and addresses many of life's ups and downs. It appeals especially to women, parents, and married folks!
