Dick Barnes has been performing since the age of three. Coming from a family of 12 children that made up two gospel quartets and a duet, Dick's early were spent performing in many churches throughout the south. His deep musicial roots broadened over the years to include performing country wastern and bluegrass music. He has shared the stage with many well known artist. His extraordinary gift for writing and performing is evidenced by the bluegrass song "North Carolina...The Place To Be" on this release. Dick's future plans include the release of more of his songs. Dick is a native of North Carolina, a former North Carolina State Senator and a former member of The North Carolina State House of Representatives.
