Lots of fun and lots of rockin'.
author: Peter Scanlon - Big Beat of the Fifties Magazine
The Diddley Daddies describe themselves as a rocking country blues band, which delves into rockabilly, blues, western and bluegrass styles. I would describe them as lots of fun and lots of rockin’. This CD made me want to adjust the volume way up. It is really great to find a band with a new exciting sound.

One of the best things I have ever produced !
author: Peter Frawley
My name is Peter Frawley and I engineered and co produced Calendar Of Love with The Diddley Daddies.
What I really liked about the way these guys approached this project was that they set out to recreate the energy and rawness of the great 50's recordings.
I believe the guys suceeded in doing this.
In an age of even roots music bands Pro Tooling all the energy and rawness out of the recording process, it was really refreshing to have a bunch of guys come in who were prepared to put their playing reputations on the line and record live and select the best of 3 takes for each track onto the album.
Minimal overdubs and no Pro Tools were there instructions !
Congratulations guys !
Pete

a great rockin' party cd! this band knows how to rock, when to roll, what to twang, and how to groove, and you get the firm impression they love what they do. if you listen closely, you might learn a thing or two about rocking, rolling, twanging and grooving that you missed before. my recommendation? buy this cd!
