After playing in bands since the age of 12, this is Tina's first solo recording. Since it's release she has toured the West Coast and opened for such artists as Peter Case and Patty Larkin. Her abstract lyrics meld instinctively to the often (but not always) haunting musical web of guitars, some keys and other instruments that she plays mostly herself. Unafraid to veer off in different directions, there is humor to be found in the sarcasm of some of the more upbeat moments. If you like music that is difficult to categorize but easy to remember then don't miss this most creative collection of songs!

Tina's voice makes you sit up and pay attention.

The first time I heard this album the voice grabbed hold of me and wouldn't let go. Thankfully this voice was tied to some highly original songs. Throughout the album Tina has the ability to draw you in with melodies that sound almost familiar but then she gives a quick yank and you're spinning around with suprise at some lyrical or musical spark that takes you the rest of the way into Tina's world. It's like sitting on your own couch in someone else's living room. It's familiar and comfortable but there's so much new stuff to take in and explore. Her words are both personal and strange, both connective and freeing. Her melodies are warm and uplifting. Strangely this remains true even in the more melancholy songs. Highly recommended.

This woman has a knack for drawing out suspense in her songwriting, for spinning a cyclic web that rotates within itself and pulls the listener forward with its unresolved dissonances, only to deliver you several chords later into her cozy sanctuary of abstract comfort. Fractals and kaleidoscopes come to mind. But lest you start expecting too much, she takes off in a different, upbeat and transparent direction. Tapping into Folk and Rock from decades previous, this eclectic Pop might bring to mind artists like Aimee Mann touched by a dark, haunting memory.
