Album Notes

Dillon Hodges is the 2007 Flat Picking Guitar National Champion and his musical journey has been on a fast track for the last five years. He first picked up a guitar at age 11 and just a year later this lefty won the title of National Champion Country Music Beginner in Flat Top Guitar. He followed in 2004 by winning the Future Hall of Famers competition held by the Internetional Bluegrass Museum as the guitar champion for 13 to 19-year olds. He also received an artist endorsement from Gibson in 2004 - at age 13.
At 17, he won the Flat Picking Guitar National Championship in Winfield, Kan., becoming the first lefty to ever win the title and one of the youngest winners in the contests' history.
With that Bluegrass background, Dillon began branching into celtic, jazz and swing tunes - and by age 15 he was writing and performing his own tunes. This work reflects all of those musical influences.
