Casey Dilworth
Casey Dilworth, an incredible country singer who is based out of Minnesota, is keeping the old school traditions alive with his latest CD “Vagabond Dreamer”. Casey has a relaxed, easy listenening style about him. His pure and natural approach will appeal to all sorts of audiences from all over the world.
On “Vagabond Dreamer” you will hear some of the finest musicians Nashville Tennessee has to offer. An all star lineup that includes Hall of Famers and Grammy nominated individuals.
Casey Dilworth was part of several bands over the years as a guitar player, steel player and vocalist. He thought it was time to stretch his wings and fly off on his own. This CD represents some of his best work.
When asked why he decided to release a traditional CD, Casey replied with this answer "Many of these songs are no longer being played or listened to...and this CD is my attempt to keep them alive, for all to hear and enjoy."
Stay tuned for more on this incredible artist/musician. If you enjoy listening to the roots of country music - look no further. This CD is a true gem.
I am very proud to say that on piano is the great Hargus "Pig" Robbins, a Hall Of Fame musician who has played on all the big hits from Nashville.
I am equally as proud to have Pete Wade playing the lead guitar. Pete has played on more songs from Nashville songs than you can count and will continue to play on many more I am sure.
It was my fortune to have the great Joe Spivey on fiddle. What a stroke of luck and good fortune. Joe was nominated for 2 Grammy awards this current year. A great player and a gentlemen.
I was lucky on drums as well. I was able to have Tommy Wells, who has played on many, many great Nashville hits over the many years he has been in the business. Very nice work Tommy, and I hope we can do more.
I had the great Duncan Mullins on bass, listen to the smooth changes, and for giving directions. Good job on both Duncan, and maybe we can do another.
If you like pedal steel guitar, and listen closely, I probably do not need to tell you who that gentleman is, playing the instrument, but I proudly will. Ladies and Gentleman that is the great Llyod Green. I do not think there was a country song that came out of Nashville during most of the 1960's, 70's 80's and and much of the nineties that you did not here that steel playing away. I can only you tell that he is a wonderful person, genuine article, good advisor, and one heck of a blackjack player.
I do not know what to say about the rythmn player, since he is also, the producer of this cd. How do you thank someone who calls up and says "Let's do something", and then asks if you want good musicians, starts naming a few of them, and then pours his heart into your project.
Folks, that kind of caring, and dedication to someones else's project is what we could use more of everywhere. Mark and Donna Kay Moseley, Thank You for pulling this together for me. You are good people and deserve all the credit for this project.
I need to mention two more people who make the nice background vocals. They would be Justin Ryan, and Lori Brooks. Thanks to you two for make me sound good.
Remember folks, the musicians on this cd are very important to the outcome of the cd, we cannot do it without them, and they deserve your recognition.
Thank you for your continuous support!
Sincerely,
Casey Dilworth

Outstanding Traditional Country CD
author: William and the RadioIndy.com Reviewer Team
“Vagabond Dreamer” by Casey Dilworth is an enjoyable CD full of memorable songs with a traditional country sound. Casey’s deep Southern vocals are well-suited for this genre. On a number of the tracks, Casey’s vocals are nicely surrounded by rich backing vocals. With this CD Casey brings hits from the ’80 into a style that is distinctly Casey’s. The musicianship and production on the CD is superb, as expected with the lineup of top players that Casey compiled for this CD. “She’s In Love with a Rodeo Man” features a memorable vocal performance by Casey, nicely complemented by rich harmonies on the memorable chorus, and some nice slide guitar and piano fills. “Brown Eyed Handsome Man” features some excellent guitar work and some nice honkey-tonk piano fills. If you enjoy good old-fashion country music sung and performed by seasoned veterans, this is it. Listen and enjoy.
