author: Robert Silverstein
"A few years back, guitarist Robert DiMaio released his solo debut CD, Deepin the Mystery. In 2007 DiMaio follows up with Robert DiMaio & The Beauty Junkies. Combining brains, braun and a palate of excellent melodic ideas, DiMaio comes up with his finest album yet. Because of the instrumental nature of DiMaio's music, there's plenty of room for your imagination to run wild. As both a hard rock shredder and a sculptor of musical concepts, DiMaio stakes out some unique, intriguing musical terrain in the guitar world with Robert DiMaio & The Beauty Junkies."

Imagine Your Lover
author: Michael Molenda
DiMaio starts off all tongue-in-cheek and white and funky- like a less manic Ian Dury- but the genius of this track is that the party actually shakes its way to a thrilling climax, with each musical section capped off by wilder and wilder guitars. Such nasty fun. Shame on you, Robert!

The licks are hot, the rythim section is tight, and the blending of genre's makes me want to grab my guitar and try to keep up!

Dude, how'd you swing that whole deal with the devil thing?
author: Larry
Hey there Robert,
Dude, how'd you swing that whole deal with the devil thing? I've tried, and he just laughs and says "I already OWN you, so you can keep on sucking". I hope that's metaphorical for my guitar skills, and not foreshadowing my eternity...
Anyway, however you swung it, it was a BARGAIN! You've got amazing taste, and an awesome tone. You've got serious range too - I dig the swampiness of Down That Devil's T (hroat/ Tuchie - whatever). The FUNK is where it's at for me though, so Tongue and Ridin Above get my nod as favs. (Although the Disco infected Imagine Your Lover (In Bed With Satan?) is a great groove too. Overall, you ROCK! (Hmmm, if the devil won't deal, maybe I should try the other side!)
Please stop by sometime and let us know what you think of Postpunkpopfuncountryfunk. We'd love to hear from you!
