Moody, atmospheric masterpieces.

Struck by the Sadness of Love: Bittersweet beginning, with a tired/weary vocal that evokes the song's emotions in the listener instantly. Beautifly orchestrated as the song blossoms. All or Nothing: This very cool and mellow space-age pop synth that opens the track is quickly revealed to be a small component in much larger cross between an anthem and a hymn. Tremedously atmospheric song. Love Like This: short and intimate and simple and pleasant. Until the End: bittersweet begining quickly gives way to a an upbeat tune that is relaxed and comfortable and still bittersweet at the same time. Not To Be Here: at once stark and sacred, it builds to a glorious end. I purchased the disc on the basis of hearing that song one time, and am very happy that every song on it turned out to be such a jem. This is well-crafted music. The mood of the songs and the singer's voice and the lyrics are evocative and compelling. At the same time, the orchestration, the beat, the production - its great music, well put together.

Unbelievable Passion

The way the songs flow... it fits. Make no mistake, this CD would get serious airplay if a few stations out there would bother to open up there genres a little. Sometimes warm and fuzzy, sometimes touching and grave, mostly loving and open.

There are so many "labels" these days I can't keep up - But I'll use the ones I like - This is terrific Dream-pop with an introspective dark edge. It is easily repeatible - once I've listened to a rotation of CDs in my changer - this one stays in for multiple plays while others are switched out. I can't wait to get his other CD.
