Album Notes

Dino Romanelli is a solo artist from Broomfield, CO. "Standing Still" is his debut album, available in full here on CDBaby in CD or digital form.

Dino grew up in Denver, CO and began playing in bands at 15. He began his musical journey on the cello at age 8, and moved from various woodwind and brass instruments before discovering rock & roll and guitar. He moved to California at 23, and began writing songs shortly thereafter, thus beginning the process of assembling the songs you hear on this, his debut album. Prior to this recording, Dino was the singer for several LA based bands, including Troy, 13th Floor, Zero Stone and The Affordables. He is now the lead singer for the Denver based band uglidog.

The music that Dino writes and sings can best be described as an acoustic/electric/ folk/rock/melodic experience with a lot of two and three part harmonies. His major musical influences include, but are not limited to, John Lennon, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, The Black Crowes, The Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, The Byrds, and The Eagles. The album includes elements of several sounds and styles, making it something that people with many different musical tastes can enjoy. "Standing Still" is an album on which you will find driving rock on "Thinking About You", the gentle acoustic ballad "Thanks For Coming", the melodic harmonies of "American Beauty", and the dynamic power of "Big Black Hole". There are also five other fine songs, including the mystical title track.

Dino Romanelli is available for live shows at this time. For booking or other information about this artist, please contact him at dinoromanelli@sbcglobal.net, or vist www.myspace.com/dinosongs.

"Excellent recording ...Dino's a pro, ready to take a big step forward. Check him out..."
-SMR No Blood For MP3

"This is classic rock! There are so many artists on mp3.com that try to copy the great sounds of the 70's rock, but this is the first band to sound original and real, just the good feeling of classic rock. Comparisons are surely Neil Young or other honestly rocking artists of that decade."
-Sven

"I fell in love with this song the first time I heard it. IT is excellent."
-Buttermilk Platform

"He is very clearly audible even if the guy he sings about is invisible ..."
-Dr. No

"Ahhh...real music! Whew!"
-Unknown listener

"Played "Invisible Man" on the Moon Radio show. What a reaction you got from the chat room crowd! Some of the men were feeling guilty because they said you were describing their apartment, one thought it was "sad" and I found it humorous. I'd say you have hit Dino. I love your stuff."

This is the CD I listen to in the evenings when I'm winding down and falling away into my own thoughts and feelings. The songwriting is intelligent, thought-provoking, and mysterious. From "Standing Still" to "On the Bus" to "American Beauty", this album is a beautiful creation not to be overlooked. I get the impression that he is searching for something, as there is a roaming, drifting kind of yearning in his vocals and in his writing. This is what excellent songwriting sounds like, and this is what songwriters everywhere are striving to achieve.
