Album Notes

This is music for a sophisticated beach movie. Soulful Hammond, clever guitar, root down bass, and sexy drums...The Diplomats Of Solid Sound deliver everything that is good and righteous about music. They are at once fresh and familiar.

Instrumental Action Soul is the legendary debut album from The Diplomats Of Solid Sound. Emerging from the ashes of Midwest favorites, The Bent Scepters, The Diplomats have taken their native territory by storm, and they are poised to conquer the rest of the known world with their unique brand of funky soul.

The Diplomats Of Solid Sound are led by guitarist Doug Roberson, and feature the talents of Nate Basinger (Hammond organ), Dustin Conner (bass guitar), and Jim Viner (drums) - together creating the trademark Diplomats sound - skintight rhythm section, simple but effective guitar figures, and interstellar soulful organ.

The Diplomats Of Solid Sound have arrived as part of the next wave of funky alternative rock. Don't miss this opportunity to own a piece of history of the next big thing!

Instrumental Action Soul is distributed by Hammondbeat Records around the world and available to retailers in the United States via BDC (www.bdcdistribution.com).

Inspired Naratives & Boogie Politically Powered Bong Music
author: Wilbur Chai-Pow
Is it Russ Meyer inspired Floppy Funk or just pandering to juniors nostalgia. Whatever you may think of todays music or the immoral Mr. Tease is between you and God. Presently: Robertson's groovy strumming only compliments Basinger's frolicking fingered keyboards! The bass support offered works beautifully on this project. Throw in Viner's creative drumming and you've got a Pioneer Noodie Film Makers Dream Soundtrack! Only it's The Diplomats of Solid Sound in 2008. Somewhere Sherriff Charles Napier is running in the dessert with Cherry & Raquel. "...Knock that Queer Shit off!"

instrumental soul grooves

Satisfying instrumental soul grooves in an updated style of Booker T. I have listened to lots of LPs and CDs of this genre and these guys are floating on the top. Good work, guys! (Note: I don't know these guys, I am not getting paid to write this, I live in California and have never heard them live. I just think this is good music that deserves to be heard!!)
