We don't have long extensive careers of opening up shows for the likes of Cypress Hill or Jay Z. The Dirt Farmers are collectively what the industry threw away with all the original hip hop back in the Early 90's. We've never been accepted by the ''Industry'', we are just 2 MC's, Cornfield and Spinz, that met each other in 2002 and decided that we worked good together. You know most of your friends that ''make music'' don't ever get around to recording 1 song, well we've recorded over 50 now. The Dirt Farmers are workaholics and not only appear at festivals around the world on our own booking/management (US) but we like to record at a place we call THE DIRT FARM. You may hear about Greenwise Records well that's us, we do it all ourselves and help out anybody we can with ''label representation''. If you want to know a little bit of our backgrounds if that makes you happy in a BAND BIO then read on homie....Cornfield is from Omaha,Nebraska and got his nick name from running through the cornfields of Nebraska naked,,backwards,,Cornfield moved to L.A. to get ''signed'' and went to LA Recording Workshop and got a nice paper to hang on our studio wall at THE DIRT FARM. Cornfield is the ZACH DE LA ROCHA sounding guy in The Dirt Farmers and also supplies the key ingredients for the beats of The DIrt Farmers, Cornfield plays bass,guitar, and drums since he was 5! Basically the white boy knows his shit and can get down with the best of them given the chance, in a freestyle battle,bass slapping contest, or even a DJ battle. Spinz is from a small town called Oxnard in California. His name comes from jerking off while spinning around while drunk one night at the beach, he will tell you his name is SPINOZA like the philosopher but that's all bullshit. Spinz started rapping after hearing a Public Enemy CD when he was 13, he still tries to rap at the age of 28,some people never quit. Spinz is the VANILLA ICE sounding guy in The Dirt Farmers or some say FRED DURST but we won't give him that much credit. Spinz is also everywhere, I think he is the guy that stole the garden troll and took pictures of it around the world. Spinz passport looks like a welfare book with all the stamps and he regularly rocks the mic in front of thousands while doing his impersonation of a real MC. Spinz is involved in the Drum and Bass scene in Europe and also collabs with many foreig producers, but fuck him that means he's never home when you need him,,anyways...

    I really liked Experimental Hip Hop by the Dirt Farmers. the title says it all "Experimental" this CD offers something most others do not, a unique sound. The mix of electronica with rap is really cool. the drum and bass samples are a plus. I would recomend this CD to anyone that likes more then just basic hip hop. good job Dirt Farmers!

Dolazi sutra (u utorak), tako da naÏalost neçe moçi biti veãeras na Tabuli, kako smo prvotno planirali, ali çe zato sutra (14.6.) biti na Radiju 101 u emisiji Blackout Rap Show, u srijedu 15.6. na Radio Karlovcu, u emisiji Fat Beat. Gostovat çe i u Splitu, povodom druge godi‰njice emisije Raplection, samo nemamo informacije kada i gdje (da li na radiju ili u nekom klubu). U svakom sluãaju, ako bude negdje u va‰oj blizini odrÏao koncert, podrÏite taj underground event.

    I was sitting at Block Jam 2005 in Haakensbergen,Holland in total awe of the panoramic scene of graffiti writers in the write for gold battle when all of a sudden I hear a bunch of kids laughing and jumping around this guy in a che sweater and dark sunglasses with a SOX hat on that was freestyling to these kids about what thezy were wearing and why they didn't brush there teeth in the morning,off the wall stuff. I met Spinz or Spinoza tha MC as he is also known as. After hearing many of the fresh new hip hop acts from throughout the world,London,Praha,Deutchland, that Zulu Nation promotes and beings into the family every year at Block jam, the sole american act was Spinz of The Dirt Farmers. Spinz performed a flawless display of old school,new school and next school during his 45 minute performance, keeping the crowd with him the whole way by chanting NOW ITS TIME FOR THE SPINZ,too much garbage,NOW ITS TIME FOR THE SPINZ, the crowd of 2000 couldn't have been treated to a more plesant surroundings and a vary rare display of true raw talent and the skills as an MC and people mover as Spinz from Oxnard,CA. At the end of his performance he explained how he didn't get CD's sent to him because he couldn't afford it and he told everyone of Experimental Hip Hop EP from The Dirt Farmers. Dirt Farmers are the next step in a hostile take over going on in hip hop music right now with the likes of Ugly Duckling,Atmosphere, and others that represent the new school underground sound.

    The Experimental Hip Hop EP was placed in my cd deck and instantly had a fan. I turned that sh&*t up!.. This is a truly uplifting album all the way through. I stil cant find a song i don't dig.

    Dirt Farmer music Straight out of Oxnard, California dwells the multi dimensional crew The Dirt Famers. Thier style is to be admired. Mixed with genres of heavy metal, drum and base, Hip-Hop and indie rock/ soul, The Dirt Farmers truley stand as an innovative Hip-Hop crew. To some up their music into one sentence lets just say that their tracks are "f%cking big".

    THE DIRT FARMERS | EXPERIMENTAL HIP HOP EP Sortie : 2004 – Greewise records Je crois que l’on peut parler d’une exclu sur PHH avec cette chronique de «Experimental Hip Hop EP » des Dirt Farmers, un nouveau groupe affilié à Stones Throw records. Ce groupe est issu de la nouvelle ville de pèlerinage Hip Hop à l’ouest des états unis : Oxnard. Chose assez intéressante l’un des rappeurs du groupe, Spinoza (l’autre étant Cornfield), vie actuellement en Slovénie et organise sa promotion avec Greenwise records et la réalisation de son album solo. A l’instar des Roots, The Dirt Farmers est un groupe à dominante acoustique : basse (GNips), guitare, batterie (Chris), sans oublier un Dj / producteur (James). Leur maxi a donc une empreinte musicale très fusion. Le premier titre du maxi commence sur une phase de scratch impressionnante sur un beat puissant. Les voix des deux rappeurs rappellent parfois celles des Beasties Boys, nasillardes et énervés. La plupart des sons sont up tempos et leurs flows sont adaptés aux rythmes. Sur certains morceaux les beats sont travaillés de manière très expérimentales comme le nom du maxi l’indique, sur d’autres l’approche est plus rock / fusion. Chacun trouvera son compte sur ce maxi, les amateurs de Stones Throw trouveront les ingrédients qui ont fait le succès de ce label. Ceux qui apprécient des groupes comme Rage Against the Machine ou même Suciadal Tendencies seront surpris de retrouver se sont quasiment disparu depuis le milieu des années 90. Ce maxi très complet trouvera certainement sont public en France. En attendant le nouvel album de Spinoza, les Dirt Farmers enchaînent les scènes partout en Californie et depuis peu en Europe.
