DIRTY ALEX CONNECTION

the band leader and song writer dirty „guitar“ alex formed his first band named „timeless dream“ togehter with screamin’ slim and other school-mates from „hitting“ (the 13th district of vienna) in 1987 followed by a long, rough drinkin’ and snutting time during the decades.
rehearse and playing 8 days a week, alex performed in several bands like still screamin, tejas little big band, tough n’ dirty, the alcoholic church, mellow fellows, lone wolf blues band, fenzl experience and got himself well known as a hardriding session player in every biker-club and blues-pub in and ´round vienna.
he also jammed with legends like bluesman louisiana red, kim cooper of the excellent rounder girls and supported icons like luther allison & his son bernard, „the killer“ jerry lee lewis himself, savoy brown and even had a booze-up one night with eric burden who wrote the words „you are an art of work“ on his elbow (which than was tattooed by sabina fuhrmann).

1991 alex and slim met the incredible bass player jan wessely of the legendary vienna 70’s band hallucination company and in the year 2000 edward van fenzl, a fanatic guitartech and david fenzlman (both proud members of the mighty austrian blues-rock band FENZL EXPERIENCE) made the band to the fist it is today.
the past years helped these 5 musicians melt together and in 2005 „dirty alex
connection“ was formed:

alex began to write songs about “rock n’ roll life on the road“ and 2006 the completed tracks were recorded. together with the grace and help of pretty spiffy markus sauschlager and his mighty tubes and microphones!

they played the grounds together and overdubbed with all their heart and soul (and mates, they’ve got heaps of it!) to keep their notorious livepower. sometimes everything seemed to be workin’ against them (2 amps fucked up, 1 tube-mic broke, alex got a bad cold, one time we had a complete power breakdown (we were shitting ourselves that the whole recordings would be fucked up!) and they suffered plenty of more bad luck but, shit happens and they fought on... and they did it: their album no. 1!!!

all songs are proudly written by dirty alex and arranged by d.a.c. except for lynyrd skynard’s poison whiskey.

...all our friends n’ fans who gave us power and strengh to keep us rockin’ and shouting out this pure kind of music with all our heart and soul (...not to mention the mighty feelin’ we sucked up at millions of parties and shows!), especially horst – crazy international super fan – who spent voluntary 100 euro for 2 cd’s before it even was produced!!

we hate: all kinds of stupid violence and rassism as well as small minded assholes!!
guys talkin’ the same boring shit over and over again ..bla...bla...blaaa, except poidl (red slut of morbid biker mc), koal and bumsti (official support of d.a.c.)

we dedicate this cd and raise our glasses to our brothers and sisters who are waitin’ in rock n’ roll heaven – especially to little big man mr. erich dastl (mellow fellows) - drowned on the 8th of july 2006 in the fuckin’ danube during the recordings of this album)
