Dirty Heat Recordings is a collaborative of local N Shore and Boston emcees.
We've been in the game since 1982 and don't plan on stopping.
At the Heat it's all about the lyrics and originality with the beat making.
In a world of hip hop artists that are just copying each other this will be a breath of fresh air.
You won't be able to pop it in and just be locked in the same old drum track and loop style, here it isn't based on money so we try different things and actually try to be creative with sound.
Like the old school rappers who made their names by sounding different from the next emcee, DHR is trying to break the mold and make it so listeners know when they are hearing us.
Make no mistake this is hip hop at its best, but with a little twist to separate ourselves from the rest.
But make no mistake, it isn't called dirty for nothing.

Man, I can't believe it. There's actually something new in hip-hop I'm feeling! That's rare in a lot of cases these days. I bought this cd and it's nice from start to finish. Definetely a must have for anyone who loves the real.
