Album Notes

Dirty Rebel's debut release is a blend of riff-oriented rock melodies with British Pop undertones. The band features the legendary music teacher Mark Fitchett on lead guitar and ex-Baby’s drummer, ten-year veteran of Rod Stewart playing on drums. Rock steady bass lines are provided by Tony Alvarez, while the vocal, rhythm guitar, & piano duties are handled by frontman Tom Sprafke.

In an interview with Powerpop, Sprafke elaborated on the risks associated with creating a different musical sound saying “we wanted a sound that differentiates us from the countless sound-alike bands today. In doing so, you always have the uncertainty that the first time listeners may not give you a second chance because your not mainstream enough”.

Once you get past the fact that this album doesn’t sound like anything else out there, you will find solace in the mature complexity and world class musicianship of the record.
