ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The title track of Dirty River's latest album, Graveyard Train, is emblematic of their unique contribution to the modern bluegrass and acoustic roots landscape... Originally written by John Fogerty as a dirge, these amazing lyrics now breathe anew, with hard-driving instrumentation and urgent vocals lending immediacy to the tragedy. The boys of Dirty River are also notable songwriters themselves, sharing with their audience plaintive lyrics, gritty instrumentals, and timeless stories, which can be found on this first full-length release. Recorded by Tom Mindte of Patuxent Music, mastered by Billy Wolf, and self-released on the Dirty River Publishing Co label, 2009.
