Album Notes

The Dirty Sunshine: A statement.

The Dirty Sunshine is rising. By illuminating the flaws and failings of the human experience we hope to eschew the delusions of a politically correct society. Political correctness is merely a means to manipulate the general masses while spreading the word of thoughtless mediocrity. The Dirty Sunshine believes in the excellence of the individual. To be excellent, we must actually be better than another individual regardless of emotions. There is always someone who is smarter, stronger, or more creative. This is what should drive society not the notion that we all deserve the same abilities. As humans we deserve nothing but the right to better ourselves and grow. Not everyone grows at the same rate or even in the same manor. Rather than delude ourselves with equality, The Dirty Sunshine revels in the things that make the individual unique, for better or for worse.

Our new album, DISCLAIMER, is a look into the philosophical struggle of faith, faith in our government, religion, and fellow man. We all seek something beyond our own cell yet finding logical justification for it is often a lost cause. This searching for order amongst chaos is perhaps the most unique part of humanity. This cycle of creation and destruction of ideals continues indefinitely until we expire. This desire to amass knowledge and acquire understanding rises from the very ashes of our previous failures. The antiquated and decaying becomes beautiful and functional again.

We are The Dirty Sunshine.
