After releasing the first solo project, Engraved 4-9-1-6, the sophomore album, Day 3, is based on the scripture of Matthew 28 verse 19 in which Jesus tells his Disciples to "Go and make Disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.” This is Jesus speaking to his disciples after he had risen from the dead on Day 3 (hence the name Day 3), telling them to go and tell the world about the Goodness of God. When you fast-forward to today, "too many people fail to appreciate the blood on the Christ Cross" (excerpt from Track 6 called The Humble Gangsta).
The reason that so little people appreciate what Jesus did on the Cross is because they are unaware of what he went through to get to the point where he could offer eternal life with no strings attached. Human nature causes us not to fully appreciate a gift unless we know what was required in order for us to receive that gift. Day 3 is an album that seeks to make people aware of what Christ went through in order to be the connecting bridge that connects us back to our father.
"He doesn’t hose down crowds with holy water, but Disciple competently holds down Christ and the beat. His backdrops, which are mostly self-produced, are arresting, composed of dizzy keys, awesome bass thuds, anxious snares and synthesized organs; and as far as image, let’s just say he looks more like U-God than he does one of God’s representatives." -Chris Faraone, Boston's Weekly Dig

Keeps getting better
author: Terrence Theodore
Disciple 1st album was good, but this is even better. Disciple has a great flo and punch lines for days. Great God glorifying and Christ centered lyrics. I only wish that Disciple were reformed.
I bless God for you bro,

I was pleasantly surprised about the production quality and the rhymes and flows of Disciple. It's not easy to be relentlessly Jesus and not sound corny or forced. For that I give the CD the highest marks. However I was disappointed that the CD was not mastered before pressing. This will hurt the chances for radio.

Disciple is my favorite rapper. I like him because he raps about Jesus non stop J.C. on every single track and he does it very well. In his beats he uses alot of Old Orchestra Samples. Buy this and his other album Now!
