Album Notes

The follow-up full length release from Discuss has been a long-time overdue. A due explanation is in order. A split between original members put the project on hold at the end of the summer in 2007.

The remaining culprit Andrés, in efforts to keep the Discuss project alive, released a 5 track online-only EP, aptly titled: Monologues EP. This EP was a good-bye sort of thing; raw and un-mastered, Andrés put into music what he knew had to be expressed.

It wasn’t until late October of 2007, that Jim Doutrich started collaborating with Andrés; in order for “Aeration Swells” to be realized.

The combination of exquisite beats and ghostly melodic soundscapes, along with the inspired vocal layers and faint trumpet memories, Discuss re-enforces it’s sound with this mature approach at a second full length album.

Awesome album

This cd is amazing. every track is so beautiful, relaxing but exciting at the same time. I love the way they used the faint, whispering-like vocals that are hard to understand, but it fits in perfectly. The music style could be compared with Boards of Canada but that's only a vague indication, these guys make totally unique music. My favorite track is "As in Plantlife, Citylife", because it starts out with calm synths, slow-paced drums, and drone-like bass and keeps builing and building, and then the vocals kick in with louder drums. brilliant. The last track ends so sudden, I don't think that's the way it's supposed to be. I hope to see you guys live here in Holland someday! Thanks to CDBaby for fast delivery and great customer service.
