Album Notes

Dishwater Psychics stripped down their sound to reveal the layers of guitar, bass, and drums that were previously obscured by drifting clouds of tape hiss and broken glass.

Recorded at home in Dayton, Ohio and Denver, Colorado, "The Signal Will Fade" EP is a concise, organic collection of rock songs. Drummer Michael Behrenhausen (Maraca 5-0, Blusom) adds a punch and tingle that carries the other instruments above sea level for the first time. Layered, half-conscious vocals tie it all together, wondering if it will fall apart at any moment.

Clean, crisp, contemplative

Won't be long before groupies will be swarming you for pieces of clothing, vials of sweat, locks of hair and any bit of your bod. Listened twice already. Really like first and fourth tracks. Two and three toe-tappers, too. I really like your vocals, particularly the phrasing. And the lyrics are contemplative, though i'll need to listen more to divine them better. Clean, crisp guitar work, and nice ambient sound. Thanks for the listen.

Chris Jones is the king of indie rock!

There's that one musician you hear and you realize they are a genius. That musician is the amazing Chris Jones. Do not overlook this band from Dayton, Ohio. Just when you thought the Top 40 was taking over the world, Dishwater Psychics scream "NO WAY PAL!". By far some of the best bass work I have ever heard. There are no duds on this cd, only treasures of a new musical regime. Buy it, know it, love it. Thanks in advance.

These guys have that sound that just screams middle America. Good down home vocals and sarcastic wit without turning it on themselves, and an ear for a good hook. If going out on a limb I'd say GBV meets Destroyer as you hear good pop, but nods to David Bowie here and there. The singer/guitarist John also runs the cool ezine Sponic.
