Neukrk was created over a period of a couple years in San Francisco, Brooklyn, and Manhattan. The album involved diverse methods of production and bridges live instrumentation with heavy use of samples and found sounds. The music is inspired both by the history of electronic music over the last 20-30 years, and certain geographic spaces and the history and atmosphere of those spaces.
