Newsweek says, "…The Bops are adventurous, spirited hybridizers, layering plinky dulcimer, mandolin and guitar under their jaunty harmonies, and they craft their songs the way tunesmiths used to do…"

Album Notes

With the release of their third album “Summer Rains,” The Ditty Bops continue to bewitch their listeners with iridescent golden harmonies, playful storytelling, and a visionary lyrical worldview. Their music has been described as genre-defying, bearing influence of Western swing, ragtime, gypsy-jazz, pop, and vaudeville-era musical theater. Teaming up again with Grammy-nominated producer Mitchell Froom (Suzanne Vega, Paul McCartney, Elvis Costello), The Ditty Bops have generated a work of whimsical invention and exceptional craftsmanship.

simply sweet

Having heard them on the radion, TDB were actually the first band I bought on CD Baby. I dare to say there is no other artist mixing tenderness with power in such a smooth and likeable way. I had to get all their three regular CDs right away. Those ladies now frequent my home stereo, car system, office PC. Young or old people hearing them just stop paying attention to everything and keep asking "Who the heck is that??". Abby and Amanda simply ARE a must-have!
