The fantastic Gospel musical, THE GREAT DIVAS OF GOSPEL, was first presented at the Church of St. Luke & St. Matthew for 13 weeks in Brooklyn, NY in 1993. Now this powerful show has been playing at churches, colleges, and theaters all across this nation for the past 13 years.

Lady Peachena, playwright of the show, gives a dynamic salute to the female queens of Gospel music such as Clara Ward, Sallie Martin, Marion Williams, Dorothy Love Coates, Ruth Davis, Mahalia Jackson, and others.

Now the cast members of THE GREAT DIVAS OF GOSPEL sing some of the traditional favorites of the show on this CD, STAY IN THE RACE. Lady Peachena also wrote five Ccontemporary songs to add a varied world-beat flavor to the project.
