The power of Divide The Empire no doubt comes from the diverse musical backgrounds of its members. Glenn Hughes brings the hard driving bass of classic rock greats from the 70's, Bob McNew's drums provide a concrete foundation deeply rooted in old school metal. The guitar work of Joe Burrow has the hook of guitar rock and the spirit of old school punk, while the introspective lyrics delivered by Randy Shanks' soulful voice come from his love for the alternative music of the 90's.
