The Walk is Amazing

The Walk is the first Divisi song that I ever heard. The sounds in it are absolutely amazing. I wish that I lived in Oregon so I could go see them.

Excellent and Fresh!

I am always looking for fresh, new, and "above the fray" music. When I recently heard Divisi sing for a local radio station, I knew I had just found a new group to add to my playlist. I heard their cover of Steve Wonder's Don't You Worry About a Thing--and it blew me away. Makes you wonder why none of them tried out for American Idol--probably because it would be no contest! Imho. Congrats on placing 3rd at the ICCA by the way.

I got this album because it's the only all-female acappella group I've heard that I liked. Excellent technically. "Mama Who Bore Me" has been going through my head since I got the CD, and I love that track to pieces. Also the best acappella version of "Hide and Seek" I've ever heard... really really awesome. The only tracks I don't like are because I don't really enjoy the song in the first place - "Truth No. 2" is too country for me, and "Light My Fire" just gets annoying after a while.
The only drawback that I'd find with Divisi is that sometimes their sound feels a little too aggressive to me, even when they're doing soft, slow songs. They really hit their notes with a lot of energy, which most groups try really hard to do (and don't always succeed at), but sometimes I think it doesn't quite suit the song. But that's a very minor point in what is really a stellar album overall.
