A passionate keyboard artist who delivers his own style of raw power, he engages his audience with the strength and finesse of his rousing arrangements. Sandy's command of the keyboard utilizes a hybrid technique that he created, and that technique propels his gifted arrangements.

His dynamic performances of familiar melodies from pop, classical, latin, country and western, movie themes, Broadway, Americana, and light jazz bond him with his audience. "No one has ever played this piano like that before," said a fan.

Raised in Brooklyn, New York, he has memories of summer evenings with the smell of spaghetti sauce cooking and the beat and feel of all types of music pumping from neighborhood houses. He recalls it as one big surround sound theater. This urban tapestry of rock, classical, pop, jazz, opera, and garage bands was the inspiration that would later influence his work. " We always had music playing in our house, and it was all around me."

Sandy began playing piano at 3 years old and started formal lessons soon after. He studied classical, pop, orchestrations, jazz interpretation and vocals under five teachers with credentials from Juilliard, the Rochester School and The Manhattan School of Music. In addition to acoustic piano, he studied pipe and electric organ, guitar, flute and MIDI keyboards.

The New York musical community recognized his talent early on. In his teens, he worked for a record company as arranger/accompanist for vocal recording artists. His first studio session was playing a Steinway B concert grand. Lincoln Center granted him a Student Music Award, and he also won a musical scholarship.

At 17, he was asked to play a medley of Hollywood movie themes accompanied by a 60-piece orchestra at the (BAM) Brooklyn Academy of Music.

While living in California, he established a music academy to teach piano technique, composition, performance and digital recording. Sandy has performed both at home and abroad at private clubs and public concert venues.
His goal is to continue performing concerts, writing music for songs and composing film and TV scores.

His current engagements are performing special one man shows and writing music scores for film.

As a past winner of the national Liberace Competition in Las Vegas, Sandy was given the rare opportunity to perform on Liberace's famous Baldwin mirrored concert grand. Liberace gave his last performance on that piano at Radio City Music Hall. He was invited back by the foundation to perform for the VIP opening ceremonies of the newly expanded Liberace Museum.

Sandy arranged and produced his CD, Full Throttle - Dixit Domino, an eclectic combination of American and Latin (Cuban) melodies, named after and dedicated to his Castilian great grandmother.
