A Diamond in the Rough!
author: Susie Glaze
Fur and Steve are REAL treasures of modern Americana music. They write songs that are true classics of cowboy twang and feelgood road adventure. Listening to them sets my mind reeling about the freedom of speaking your mind and opening your heart to friend and stranger alike, and how good honesty can feel. I put them on when I'm down, to remind myself of the goodness of the human spirit, of how lightness and sweetness (and a great melody) can heal you and make you feel like making it another day. They're real friends we should treasure! Watch out for their new one coming soon!

Great CD, authentic, haunting and beautifully played and recorded
author: John Daniels
What a wonderful slice of American music, true American music. This CD has an "authentic" feeling that permeates each track. When you hear the echo of the road in the lyrics, it's true wanderlust, not fancy songwriter BS. Both Steve and Fur have lived the life and their music reflects that. It's happy, it's sad but mostly, it's real. When Steve says he "sat down by the highway and my guitar began to pray", you can see him, right there, in the moment. (And "Mulholland Highway" is just downright gorgeous. The first time I heard the pedal steel bridge, I got goosebumps.)
I'm happy to say that I was the one who introduced these two artists to each other and, after hearing this CD, which I believe is their first collaboration, I'm real happy I did. Buy this one, it's awesome.
