Born in Sunshine raised in the country and living in the city Daniel James is of Koorie and English descent. Daniel started playing guitar at 14 to escape the boredom that was indicative of small town life. Self taught to try and emulate his heroes, Daniel has been trying to find that place in music where the Yarra River meets the Mississippi.
Daniel has played in several Rock and Blues bands, usually as a hired gun, where he found his voice as an accomplished guitarist. With Koorie passion and English sensibilities Daniel's music explores his personal journey and that of those who have come before. "The Truth", his debut EP, consists totally of original material and signs the end of one journey and the beginning of another.
A blend of smooth sailing rock, hard edged blues and aching ballads "The Truth" is the first step out of the darkness and into the light for Daniel James and his band.
