ONLY ONE-
This debut full length release captures the energy and vitality of a funky San Francisco based musician. Only One features several guest vocalists and a dancefloor remix of a funk tune originally by Roux ( http://www.RouxMusic.com/ ). Listen for yourself to ambient drum & bass journeys Bedphones and Warrior Poet (co-produced by Hil my wife), heavy grooves like The Plague and Only One, and dancefloor shakers like Chain Control and Chunky Monk. Everyone finds a few tracks they love on this album...what are you waiting for?
DJ F
Breakshop's resident beat mechanic began spinning downtempo grooves and cutting up acid breakbeats while living in Miami in 1993. Since landing in San Francisco, he has spun with world class dj's such as Tiesto, Hybrid, Paul Van Dyk, Deep Dish, Dirty Vegas, Crystal Method, Mark Farina and Kaskade. A multi-instrumentalist F plays sax, bass, guitar, keys, hand percussion, turntables, and freaks a little vocals as well. He is featured as a sax player on Om Record's Golden Gate Breaks on a track produced by Gershoni & Tello. F spends most of his time producing booty shakin' beats at Breakshop Studios.
REVIEWS
URB magazine on DJ F & Clutch mix CD:
"I first encountered the Breakshop boys at a private San Francisco after-party. Even though the main event was long since over, F and Clutch refused to let the vibe die. Trance Warp Drive finds the DJ duo shooting smoothly from breaks to trance, taking in BT and Tsunami One, Bedrock and others. While the two genres may seem disparate on the outside, it makes perfect sense when looking at them from the inside of this strong mix. Keep an eye out for these two."

Starbass.com review of DJ F & Clutch 12" - Breakshop EP
"Breakshop EP on the ideal muzik label (mike & charlie, miraj & tim harmon, etc)...following the widely-received "planet rock 2001" release, ideal returns with another fully-charged break workout crossing electro, new school, and funky break flavors to deliver three dope ass cuts. spankin' electro-fied beats link up with phat organic breakloops and thick resonating basslines to lay the groundwork for the tile cut, edged with funky vocal samples and sizzling synth funk. "strange addiction" follows, opening with a jay & silent-bob sample from the movie "clerks" that kicks in a boomin' nu-school break throbbed out with big scary sub-bass chording and a tuff metallic break. flip for the full-sided "electroshock therapy" which lays down a bumpin' 808 break behind sizzling synth sweeps, gritty vocoder effects, heavy bassline movement, and filtered synth loops in a building futuristic groove drenched in funk."
