With an audience as eclectic as her music, dallas johnson's messages have universal appeal and her musical style is at the same time unique and familiar. Present are echoes of her heroes - the laid-back timing of Billie Holiday and Jimmy Scott, the alto colors of Sarah Vaughn, the humor and self-confidence of Alberta Hunter, the peace anthems of Marvin Gaye and the wordplay of Joni Mitchell. Dan Barreiro of KFAN Radio says, "dallas' voice is rich and sassy and authoritative. She can soar and soothe, sometimes within the same song. [Her music] never gets old to my ears." Mike Brannon, of jazzreview.com, describes her music as "atmospheric, introspective and far ranging. dallas's voice shines with mellifluous soul."

In Feb '06, International recording artist, Jevetta Steele released a new CD, "My Heart". The album features 2 of dallas and Cleveland Boney’s songs, the Title Track and "Sunshine".

Electronic jazz duo, Keston and Westdal have released a new CD which includes dallas’ song, "Feel Your Heart". (Remixes by Justin Thompson of Fourfeet Records and Bryan Girard of Vino Records.)
