ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"Come to the Capitol Heights (MD) Hotel. I GOT WORK FOR YOU. Ask for Verbal KENT...You're Welcome! You're All Welcome! to join." Verbal Kent keeps stepping up his game lyrically as well as musically with his 2nd solid CD in a row. The production is better, the samples are better, the creativity is better. Verbal, as usual, takes us on a variety of topics/styles in club bangers such as: "You Outta Line, This Is How We Do (DMV anthem), and She Needs Me" which, respectively, he talks about his hood, D.M.V. (DC, MD, VA) and the dilemma of having a woman on the side and her demand. Cultural anthems: "10 Hustlin' Rules" which chronicles how a young hustler can advance forward in his reign to the top and "B.M.I.A. (Black Man In America)" which highlights some obstacles brothers might face being a man of color. He mashes the southern-inspired pedal to the floor on the hit "Durty Bounce", the futuristic pedal in the hits "CockTALES (Where Da Party At)" and "Leash That Chick (XXX)". He then tones things down and ends it at the street pulpit on the 'inspirational' "Devil's Music" which his flesh and spirit struggle for dominance. Other notable is the DJ diss track "Sorry Azz DJ)". Verbal has a love for music and it shows in the quality and frequency of his albums. Though he doesn't have a major record deal, Verbal shows no signs of slowing down his hip-hop love. "I Got Work For You" check it out and enjoy!
