Album Notes

DKM is a former "Malibu" band member, an alternative rock group from the 80's. He also played the keys in a classic rock group called "Illegal Tender". Born and raised in the St. Louis, Missouri area, he is no stranger to toasted ravioli, and in case you are interested (as all St. Louisians seem to be), he went to Pattonville High school once upon a time. Learning piano from his father, Kenneth McComber, he never really had any formal training - just liked to make up melodies.

You could say that this CD is a compilation of something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue. He takes some old melodies of his father's, some new ones of his own and adds a bit of blues stylings to it all.

"Prelude In Blue" has a very classic sound with a hint of Gershwin-like blues touches. Listen to some of the tracks and see for yourself - this is an album that flows through a trip back in time to the present of DKM's styles and memories of his father.
