Like a hurricane, D’mar is a force of nature! He has spent over 14 years producing, writing, contributing to the careers of other artists and touring. Most notably he is still the touring lead drummer for Little Richard and has been since 1995. D’mar was named “Local Entertainer of the year 2008” by the Jackson Music Awards and he also received the “Stan Branson R&B award 2008”. “The Truth” is a mixture of r&b, hip hop & funk! This grown folks’ music has an urban edge as proven by the first two singles: “I Gotcha (remix)” [Track 17] and “Can I Dance With U?(remix)” [Track 16]. Other songs such as “Spend The Nite”, “Like I Do”, “Trapped” and “This Lady” deal with those things that we all think about but no one will say out loud.
