There are a number of singer-songwriters whose accomplishments far exceed their reputation, and high on that list is david m. bailey. It's a bittersweet kind of joy (to crib a line from one of his new songs) to encounter an artist of such insight, warmth and honesty, at the same time to realize that he has yet to be discovered by most folk fans around the country.
