Album Notes

david is well-known as a 12 survivor of a malignant brain tumor that was supposed to have killed him in 6 months. His amazing story of hope and survival has been shared with and inspired thousands of fans all over the world. If you are reading this here on CD baby, you are also learning that david is a prolific songwriter and keeps a relentless tour schedule across the nation and the world in support of his multiple CD’s. The more you get to know his music, the more you will learn of the many sides of david: survivor, yes, but also poet, philosopher, theologian, comedian, activist, husband, father, friend, and lover of all things coffee. This Presbyterian, passionate, fully reformed, liberally conservative peace-loving hippie-folksinger will wow you exotic guitar licks, but also inspire you with words you only wish you’d written yourself. Take the time to browse, listen, buy a couple CD;’s, visit his website, www.davidmbailey.com, and odds are before long, he’ll be in your area and you’ll be a fan of the music and the man. Thanks for stopping by – Keep on!!
Over the years, he has seen alot of loss. After the deaths of a friend and a brother , he assembled this special collection of songs from his previous 11 albums. They are meant to comfort and encourage those who remain.
**note from david**

When I first got the idea for doing this and started listening carefully to a couple hundred of my recorded songs, these 18 tracks became what I hope is a perfect collection to help a listener walk through darkness and find light.

Wishing you all much peace.

POWERFUL
author: Mary-Elizabeth Cotton
5 stars are definitely not enough....There aren't enough stars in the universe....or words in all languages put together... my son is struggling to fight a GBM - first diagnosed (Astrocytoma) when he was 35. Unfortunately, it returned after 4 1/2 years as GBM and Temador didn't work for him but he is now started with Avastin infusions and we are hopeful. Yesterday the chaplain at UVA Hospital in Charlottesville VA gave me this CD....what a gift it is....immediately it gave me "permission" to cry, reason to hope, and a greater capacity to love! I lost a sister just a couple weeks ago so the timing was especially appropriate and I am about to order 4 copies - one for each of her daughters. Thank you, it feels as if I've found a new friend! Provided comfort to my soul from the waves of grief
author: Annis Ragan
This CD is a one on one communion. Trying to make sense of my mother's battle and death with cancer, I was comforted and encouraged to look beyond the pain. It gave me clarity and encouragement. Each time I listen I hear something I missed the time before. An intimate treat for the hurting.

A wonderful, healing collection of music
author: Darryl Mellema
I love David's music and have 5 of his CDs in my collection. I have sent Comfort to friends who have been going through hard times. This week, my own mother passed away and I found myself listening to it in a whole new way. And I have ordered it for my father and brother, who also need some Comfort. From the first words: ``It's OK to cry`` to the final words: ``take my heart, till our eyes touch again`` -- this is like a lyrical, embracing poem. It's great even when you're not going through a tough week, which I am as I type. But when you need a comforting collection of songs, this CD rises and takes on whole new meanings. And his other CDs are awesome too.
