Album Notes

In the fall of 2000, Dave McCann & the Ten Toed Frogs tore up the Americana charts with their mainstay independent release \"Woodland Tea\". The masters have long disappeared & they will never be digitally revisited! Broken and delivered, \"Woodland Tea\" was heralded by Alt Country folk as \"one of the best unknown recordings of 2001\"!

They\'re back in the wake of Americana with the new Release \"Country Medicine! A wealth of original cuts with a tip of the old flask to the Jethro Tull classic, Locomotive Breath. Lyrically unvielding, it burns like a firbranded ride through 70\'s era Outlaw Country Rock. Deluxe tube scratch & all the tone bitten guitar grang one set of fence post ears can handle! This is just another recording as you\'d come to expect from one of the most promising bands to fall upon the roots scene in some time!

Reviewed as \"Motorhead -meets-Merle Haggard\" Country Medicine has topped on some of the more impressive charts in the Americana/Alt-Country World. If you love raw, heartfelt Alt-Country then this is a must have for your collection!

Great stuff from this Alberta boy who's got the roots rock, folky Americana thing nailed. If you like Fred Eaglesmith, a young Steve Earle and these types of artists, you're gonna love this guy. He's the the real thing for sure.

Anybody who could envision turning Locomotive Breath into a country/bluegrass type tune and make it work? Gets my vote. This is straight up alt country, which I like. I've never heard Motorhead, but I know Merle Haggard. Good tunes that you won't probably be hearing on commercial radio these days. Which of course is why I found this in the first place. Takes me back to those wonderfull outlaw country days of my youth. Great tunes.
