Album Notes

World Music Favorites

Donna branches out from here usual Celtic and Classical music to include some Latin rhythms and a few modern pieces. Carribean traditional tunes Mango Walk and Come Back Liza to traditional Cuban melody: La Paloma. Enya's May it Be, used in Lord of the Rings is a beautiful melody in an instrumental version.

Donna's recordings include: "Harmonious"; classical and Celtic music for harp and hammered dulcimer, "Lo, How a Rose"; the companion Christmas recording and “Celtic Echoes”. Highland Fling is Donna's Scottish music duo with fiddle player Susan Kidney. Her newest effort is Spirits on the Wing, coming soon.

"I love both the harp and hammered dulcimer and they have taken over my life! I have a weakness for beautiful melodies, whether classical or folk, and love to bring these sounds to people who have previously been unfamiliar with these instruments. Hammered dulcimer music is more than just jigs and reels!" Donna
