What happens when your Brother disappears to Baja, Mexico, for months, then, just when you start working on how to tell your momma he's probably dead, shows up out of the blue, so tanned you don't recognize him? If your name is "Roger Archie," you write a song.
Yes, that really happened, and that is how the song "Muleje" was born!
Walter and Roger--a.k.a. "Doc Archie"--have led fascinating lives, from serving our Country during the Viet Nam conflict, to sailing the Pacific Coast of California, as well as living aboard the "Moondancer" on the Bubba Coast of Texas. Even their "day jobs" make an interesting story--one of them making a living selling liquor, and the other making a living closing down businesses selling liquor without a license. Through the good times and bad, Roger came up with lyrics to capture their experiences, and the brothers played and performed in bars, on piers, and just about any other place they wound up with their guitars. Finally, after many, many years of friends insisting they cut a CD, they decided to do it. Funny enough, it was around that time that the brothers met two young sisters, Bryn and Bria Ray, who were learning to play guitar and sing. Long story short, about a year later, the girls--now known around the marina as "The Harbourettes"--were on their way to Little Rock to record their voices on "Livin by the Dock, Not the Clock."
So the Doc Archie debut album is finally here, putting life experiences of over six decades into love songs, beach songs, sailing songs and even a Zydeco tune. Whether you're barbecuing, boating, boiling shrimp or crawfish, or just damn tired of the crap that's going on at work, "Livin' by the Dock, Not the Clock" will put you in that laid back, flip-flop wearing, every-day's-a-Saturday kind of mood.
WARNING: This album has been known to cause tropical daydreaming. Also, parents who do not like people to see them cry with emotion should NOT listen to "Young Girl" in front of others.

This cd will take you to that special time and place on the beach where life slows down, you live in the moment, and in that moment are good friends, good food and drink, and great memories. A must have cd for those wanting to turn off the fast pace of everday life, and relax for a while.
