Some of the best by one of the best.

I've been on a Tom Smith kick for about a month, now, and I appreciate him more and more. This CD is older material, but *superb*. It shows his versatility well. Some tracks are hilarious, and others provocative or wistful. Highlights include "Heat of the Blood", "307 Ale", "Rocket Ride", and "Temperature of Revenge".

This was an excellent group of songs, I've enjoyed listening to it very much! It's hard to pick a favorite song, but Hellraiser, PQR, Heat of the Blood and Starlight and Saxaphone are first among equals for me...chuckle. But then, the whole album is wonderful! This is a cd I'll treasure, a fine mix of the serious and the amusing!

Excellent CD, great fun

I ordered this CD not ever having heard of Tom Smith before, on the title of the first song along (Peter Lorre is my favourite actor). The whole CD was an absolute joy to listen to. The comic songs had me laughing out loud in places, while the serious ones were very effective. My favourite track on the album is Mandela, which makes me feel better about myself and the world every time I hear it. I will definitely buy more of Tom's albums and would recommend this to anyone.

Excellent CD That Show's Off Tom's Earlier Music!

Let me start off, I have bothered Tom Smith on Myspace and Email, and he is a wonderful man. I asked him if he had copies of his first 2 Albums "Who Let Him In Here?" and "Domino Death" on CD. This is a compilation of sorts of these first two albums, on a Best Of sort of CD. These are all extremely good songs, and a lot of them are dated, but such is life when you sing about Sci-Fi and the sort. "A Boy and his Frog," and "Starlight and Saxophone" show off his emotional range, where "PQR" is a breathtaking beauty. The rest have an impressive range of humour to seriousness. One complaint is that you can tell it is earlier stuff, and Tom wasn't as refined as he is now, but after the first listen, I didn't notice again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
