dog gods is a folk-rock band out of Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Like the music they play, the members of dog gods are an eclectic bunch, combining their multi-instrumental talents to produce a wide-array of musical styles and give each song its own unique voice. Singer-songwriter and guitarist Marck L. Beggs is also the author of three collections of poetry. Producer and keyboardist Jason Chism, a longtime staple of the Arkansas music scene, has honed his skills with a number of other bands throughout the years. Another longtime musician, bassist Phillip Taylor moonlights as the drummer for the cowbell-stealing band Blind Opie. And lead guitarist Luke Pittman and drummer Craig Seager are former members of the 2007 Arkansas Showcase winning band, the Frup. Pittman’s and Seager’s current side project is the hard-driving funk group Funkapotomus.
This band’s debut CD, “I am large; I contain multitudes,” features 15 smokin’ songs about love, death, ex-wives, bastards, UFO’s, Nobel Prize-winning novels, Irish girls, and more.
The CD also features a two-sided cover, offering listeners a choice, and thus implying something downright Freudian about the sexual attitudes and preferences of each individual listener. Or not.

I am large; I contain mulitudes
author: Millie Bowden
The more I listen to it the more I really, really like it. I like just about all the songs but one of my favorites is 'Blue Cats & UFO's'. I could see it going to the top of the charts.
