A second album for ballet class. His composition and playing style on the Red Volume are a bit more contemporary but still with all the flair and danceability of the White Volume. Another must-have album for all teachers of ballet.

Album Notes

The First Class Albums

I spent several years playing for ballet classes at Spokane Ballet, and later Theatre Ballet of Spokane. My approach was always and without exception improvisational, only because I had no desire to lug around a stack of classical music. There are beneficial aspects to either approach. However, I think one very compelling aspect of improvisation for dance class is that it allows the player more flexibility to match the flavor and style teacher's demonstration.. These four albums are a compilation of some of the better ideas I came up with during those years of playing for class.
