When Words Aren't Enough

by Don Johns

A collection of songs, some old, some new, some old, but rediscovered. I've been writing music since I was a small child. These songs reflect where I was at in my life, some sad, some happy, but all expressions that sometimes words aren't enough.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Music has always been a way for me to release feelings that are sometimes buried deep inside. Sometimes I am not even aware of how deep, until the music starts to come out. I've been writing since I was a small child. I can remember making up songs in the back of my dad's truck. I had no idea that I had so much music in me until I purchased a 4-track cassette recorder. That forever changed my life. For the first time I was able to hear what was going on in my head. Now with new technology, I can create anything inside my head, but one thing that I have continued to do is try and capture the feeling, the mood, the spirit and place that I was in at that moment. I play from the heart, I live from the heart, my music is from the heart. I hope it touches something inside of you, the way it touched me in that moment. Music transcends everything, that is what I love about it. Especially instrumental music, it can take us to places that only our minds know of. Enjoy and thanks for listening.
