Album Notes

the don lewis band is based in new york state's hudson valley, about seventy miles north of new york city.

the band's roots are rural but their concerns are global.

known for his live performances, don lewis' "eclectic audience reflects the honesty in the music." called a "roots rock" influenced artist, don lewis has never been one to chase the "what's hot now" parade as so many artists seem to do these days.

surviving the slings and arrows and the countless obstacles that all artists face, don and his band continue to prove that the public still cares about honest music.

and the critics agree.

with their producer, gold and platinum record winner peter moshay at the helm, the don lewis band is looking forward to some new adventures in music with their latest release "thru the eyes of a child," which can only add to their past accomplishments.

This CD is just as great as all their other music. I really love their music as they know how to get a good sound.

Rock 'n' roll for grown-ups

Don Lewis has done it again. He's come up with an album that speaks to the heart, but avoids the pop cliches and pointless lyrics. Here, we see an older and wiser Don Lewis. He has mellowed a tiny bit, but isn't about to embark on a country & western inspired binge of self-pity... or tolerate it from anyone else He's not cranky, he just won't suffer fools lightly. In this album, the singer/songwriter has matured and now explores the next stage of life, but hasn't forgotten his past. Far from ready for the nursing home, he still rocks out when appropriate. This is the album I was expecting from Billy Joel or Paul Simon... but never got. I like all of the tracks, and really can't pick a favorite since they are all so darn artistically and musically strong. In short, this is rock 'n' roll for grown-ups.
